Chapter 32: Words Can Kill.

"Once you said something, there is no way to take it back."

For the past few years where I have been exposed with different kinds of people both in corporate and personal life, I can conclude that words can kill.

Constructive Criticism

There is a thin line between constructive criticism and being rude. First is the intention. I always believe that what you will say or do will always be a choice and there can be other way on how to say things and still avoiding to hurt people. Always be clear with your intention and number two will follow. Your tone. The tone will always set the mood and I think no one should be thankful with someone who cannot differentiate rudeness with constructive criticism. Once the two don't align, the intention might be right but the tone isn't, it will not be helpful for the person.

Growth

I realized that growth in inevitable. Even if we tried so hard to keep things as they are, nature will always have a way on how to make His thing happen. I learned that rather than hesitating the opportunity to grow, embrace it. We would never know what will tomorrow bring because we decide to make the move to widen our horizon. Accompanied by growth, words of affirmation can help motivate one person to keep on going. A word is enough to make sunshine on one's person gloomy day.

What is the purpose of this chapter anyway?

We can always choose you know. Choose to be a better person everyday. Decide to bring sunshine or rain to someone's life. Although, I believe some pains are necessary for one's growth but isn't it nice to be that someone who will bring joy and by then that person can also grow positively because you are the one who pushed him to more?

Wouldn't it be nice to be that person who will support the other person and watch him bloom? Wouldn't it be nice to not be the storm because someone might already been suffering with hurricane?

I think it is time for us to be conscious not only with our actions but with our words as well. The physical pain might be over in a week or two but healing emotional scar will be indefinite. Proven and tested.

With everything that is happening with the world, a little twinkle star will make a difference. Maybe not with the whole world but someone's is enough.
