Baby Elephant |
Travelling has always been a dream. Seeing different places, experiencing different culture and of course - eating different cuisines. But I didn't realize that the most important part of being in another country is that you find pieces of yourself.
Never did I thought that I would love eating a mango with coconut syrup. Never did I imagine that I expect that I would learn howto greet in Thai- Sawadee ka! I would never know the texture of a baby elephant's skin if I didn't travel to this Amazing country.
It was a memorable trip for us. (Thanks Malenne and ate Gee Ann for letting me tag along once again!)
We experienced so many things that we never thought we would. We arrived at 2am (Thailand time) expecting that someone would assist us but we found ourselves sleeping at the sofa - waiting for the receptionist to come but thankfully, Joy's number (Manager) was there and she assisted us with everything. Thank you Yellow Mango! Thank you Joy!

We went to Super Rich Exchange to have baht currency. Apparently someone told us that this exchange shop is the best so far in Thailand.
At that time (March 2018) $1 = BAHT 31.42. It is pretty high compared to the other's that we checked.
Oh Temples.
The real reason why we were interested to go to this lovely country is basically because of their food - but hey! We went because of the temples too.

After seeing the temple, we went to China town (by Bus) and checked the place. We had a massage there (I wish I can do this everyday) and oh our itinerary won't be completed if we didn't taste some of their dishes.

From China Town to Platinum Market we ride on Tuk Tuk. But it is expensive if you are a tourist. check how much is their fare first before riding.

Phad Thai and I forgot the name food. Sorry! |

Street Foods |

All the food we bought in near Soi 5 |
Luckily
Yellow Mango is near Soi 5 (where all the foods are). You can find all the foods that you are looking for there - well almost. From street foods to sticky mango rice, phad thai, milk tea. Everything is there even 7-11.

We also tried
Mocking Tales which has interesting menu. The place looks magical from the names of the food to their interiors.

It is also fortunate that we were able to go to the weekend market in
Chatuchak . Random things and foods can be found there and if you are looking for cheap souvenirs, clothes, accessories, spices, oils and scrubs - you can definitely find it there.

Forgot the name sorry. |

We also went to
Asiatique. It is an open air mall and it has a famous Ferris wheel landmark.
We tried fish massage - you will put your feed inside a tank with school of fish to eat your dead skin. It was scary at first (until the end) but at least we tried. lol
To end the day. We went to Khaosan Road since people are saying that if we want to enjoy the night then Khaosan is good place to go. Khaosan road is full of bars, music, people dancing and beers.
We enjoyed at Khaosan too but in our own way.

We also went to Ayutthaya. It is another city of Thailand and about 80km far from Bangkok. We were amazed on how the temple was build and how it is still preserved after the wars until now.

Buddha Head in Tree Roots |
According to our tour guide, most of the buddha are headless because people put golds inside buddha's head and when the war with Burmese began, people cut the head and sell them to other countries. Luckily one of the head of the Buddha was hidden in the trees and it somehow become part of it.

We also went to the Thai Royal Residence. It is impressive that there is a touch of European architecture in the Palace but we weren't able to take pictures since we got tired from the long walks and we just enjoyed our time with the scenery on the top of one of the building there
